PATH Academy

The PATH Academy (Providing Access to HSC) offers a comprehensive pre-health and research preparation experience for college students. It focuses on molding students who embody the values of HSC through preparation and learning enrichment opportunities such as summer internships, clinical enrichment, personal and professional development sessions, and co-curricular activities.

Who Should Apply?

The program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in health care and/or research and who are looking for opportunities to prepare themselves and enrich their learning experience through hands-on experience, dedicated mentoring, and professional development workshops.

International Applicants: Prior to applying, please schedule a to ensure program eligibility.

 

Application Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must have:

  • Completed 24 Semester Credit Hours (SCH) from
  • A Competitive GPA of 2.75
  • Completed Math and Science Prerequisites
    • Biology I w/ Lab*
    • Chemistry I w/ Lab*
    • Math (Algebra I or higher)
  • Submitted all required application materials:
    • Personal Statement
    • Resume
    • Transcripts
    • One Letter of Recommendation

*Must be for science majors, unless application is being made to the Public Health track

When to Apply?

Application due by July 1 of rising sophomore year.

All final transcripts and documents due by July 15 of rising sophomore year.

Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for early college and dual credit students.

A.Ìý You may choose which courses to use to add to your prerequisites to complete the required 24 SCH.Ìý You must have at least a 2.75 GPA in these 24 SCH.
