Appeal matched giving FAQs
We are grateful to a group of generous donors who have pledged to match donations to our 2026 appeals in celebration of 30 years of ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø's.
FAQs
How does matched giving work?
Every £1 you can give will be doubled by generous donors up to a total of £200,000. All you have to do is donate to a ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s Spring or Christmas Appeal in 2026, and at no extra cost to you, your gift will go twice as far to helping us support everyone who needs us.
Which donations will be doubled?
The match applies to one-off gifts made by the public to our Spring or Christmas Appeals between 28th April 2026 and 31st December 2026 inclusive. This includes gifts made by:
- returning a ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s Spring or Christmas Appeal donation form in the post
- calling our Supporter Care team
- giving through one of our appeal web forms.
Monthly gifts, ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s weekly lottery, gifts in wills, event tickets or other purchases, and community collections will not be included in the match.
How will I know if my gift has been matched?
You will receive a receipt from ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s by email or in the post confirming the amount of your gift and that it will be part of the matched appeal.
How long will donations be matched for?
Donations made on and before 31st December 2026 will be eligible to be matched. After this date, your gift will still go towards helping ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s deliver life-changing cancer care, but your donation will not be matched.
Can you claim Gift Aid on matched donations?
We can claim Gift Aid on matched donations, but the Gift Aid itself will not be doubled. For example, a gift of £20 plus Gift Aid is worth £45 during the matched period (£20 gift + £5 Gift Aid + £20 matched).
When will I hear how much the match has raised?
We will be in touch to share how much money the match has raised in total in early 2027.
